Full Job Description

We would like to present an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist to join our Sunderland South community treatment team, supporting people with complex mental health difficulties. This post is a 15 month fixed term/secondment opportunity to cover maternity leave.

You will work closely with a well led and well established multidisciplinary team across a range of tasks, such as providing specialist assessments and psychological therapy to those with complex mental health difficulties. There are opportunities to contribute to our extensive training programme as well as developing your own CPD. You will be well supported by the wider MDT, as well as working alongside a number of other therapists within and across teams.

the post holder will be clinically supervised by a senior psychologist / psychological therapist and professionally supervised by the consultant clinical psychologist. You will also join a wider psychological service of about 15 therapists that serves the adult teams in community across the south CBU. As such you will join a supportive network with a lot of clinical and wider expertise., The main duties of the role involve providing one to one assessments, therapy, group interventions. Other tasks such as supervision and training can be considered depending on need and experience. You will receive regular supervision and the chance to engage in ongoing continuing professional development.
