Full Job Description

The role involves providing mental health services within Teesside Acute Hospitals to individuals, including both working-age adults and older adults, with complicated and complex needs. This includes offering direct clinical care and conducting assessments, as well as supervising and developing other team members. The role is backed by a clinical team comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, and associate nurse consultants. Operating on a 24/7 basis, the service requires flexibility, with the expectation that the role will cover day shifts from 08:00 to 20:00 across seven days to meet service needs., The post holder will utilise their advanced specialist knowledge of theory relating to the psychological, biological, social and cultural issues which influence mental health, mental illness, mental resilience and interventions to aid recovery, in order to provide advanced clinical practice, leadership and clinical development of other staff. They will work collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary Liaison Psychiatry leadership team developing shared goals, complimenting the roles of others to support and maintain team growth and continuous improvement.
