Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to work with two specialist teams in the Children's Hospital, Oxford, as a member of the regional cleft centre and supra-regional craniofacial unit. The Spires Cleft Centre and The Oxford Craniofacial Unit provide surgery and outpatient services to children and young people with cleft lip and palate and craniofacial conditions respectively, from birth into adulthood. You will be joining friendly teams to support the delivery of multidisciplinary care in outpatient clinics and wards, and in particular to the specialist speech and language therapy (SLT) team., The successful candidate will:
- Support the administrative work of the SLT team and take responsibility for specific tasks. i.e. organisation of routine appointments, clinic preparation, equipment maintenance, training events, resource management
- Assist SLTs in their clinical audit activities including data entry
- set up and support specialist SLT and multidisciplinary clinics
- work alongside SLTs and other team members
- liaise with the cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary and administrative teams to support all aspects of patient care and service delivery
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a therapy or healthcare setting. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and flexible with excellent communication skills.
