Full Job Description

Assist radiographers/radiology department assistants and nurses in X-ray rooms and department. Liaise with patients and family in the department and offer them to give feedback about the service they received/ FFT. Bepartofthedepartment'sauditteam Observepatientstoensuretheyaresafeandwellintheradiologydepartmentwaiting areas. Support the team by taking specimens to the laboratory. Ensure clinical area is kept clean and safe. HelpGPandOPDpatientsusetheself-checkinkiosk. Observepatientsandreportanypoorlypatientstotheappropriatestaff. Send for inpatients and arrange for them to go back when instructed bystaff. Tofreeupthetime ofmoreSeniorstaffbydealingwithpatient&porterqueries. Dealwithphonecallsinworkingareas Dealwithqueriesfrompatient/ family,cliniciansandwardstaff. Toensurethatthepatientwaitingareasareclean and safeforpatients' throughouttheday,ensurethatgownsaresuitablyputintolaundrybinsandthatchangingcubiclesareneatandtidythroughoutthe day. Assist patients with their needs as required. Toassistpatientstocomplete IwantGreatCareformsandentitlementstoNHScareforms. Arrangedeepcleaningofrooms Liaisewithworksdepartmentincasesofbreakdownorrepair. Assistwithqueriesfromstaff andpatients. Preparegeneralx-rayroomsforthedaybycleaningallequipmentsurfaces, checking and maintaining consumable stock levels ingeneralrooms. Assist radiographers in x-ray rooms and when undertaking ward x-rays by processing cassettes, dealing with patients, ensuringpatient comfort and generally assist where necessary by helpingmovepatients ontrolleys,chairs orbeds.
