Full Job Description
This is a new post which will offer a unique combination of teaching and research opportunities at SFH. It will involve taking a lead role in the organisation, development and delivery of clinical teaching and tutorials to medical students based at SFH, both within the clinical workplace and in a teaching/skills environment.
Personal teaching skills will be developed and improved, along with understanding and experience of experimental learning, competency assessment and evaluation tools. There will also be the opportunity to develop skills and experience in non-technical areas such as communication and de/briefing working alongside experienced faculty members.
The post would be ideal for either a post CT2-ST3, an experienced SHO or Specialist Registrar who has a clinical background involving Otorhinolaryngology. The successful applicant will also have an interest in medical education and educational research.
The post not only involves teaching opportunities but the chance to build your CV when applying for a training number or for any future post.
You will be based at King's Mill Hospital, and you will be working alongside other Teaching Fellows in other specialties and will be able to work together on projects and share good practice.
