Thank you for your interest in this exciting position of Clinical Team Leader (CTL) for our Mental Health Acute Wards in Hammersmith and Fulham mental health unit, we currently have vacancies on our male PICU. This role is an exciting and challenging opportunity for the right candidate. You will be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills while providing first line advice, support, and information to a wide range of patients that are in the acute phase of a mental health crisis. The post holder will provide support when someone, both known to services and unknown comes to the unit. You will need to have important nursing assessment skills, knowledge of the legal frameworks that inform acute mental health care, an understanding of mental health diagnosis and a well-informed understanding of psychosocial interventions. The Hammersmith mental health unit Team are highly motivated, diverse, energetic and has a ready to help attitude. Our professional and multi-disciplinary staff group whose ability to intercede on behalf of patients across all levels of healthcare is nurtured and respected. We believe in embracing the expertise of our nurses, medics, allied health professionals and health care facilitators, working together to make a positive difference to the lives of our patients. The work is challenging and rewarding, it will provide the right candidates with an opportunity to facilitate and support staff to develop critical clinical skills,
- To provide support and supervision to a group of nursing staff
- To develop and maintain communication with individuals or groups of patients, carers and staff, about difficult or complex matters, overcoming any problems in communication in different situations.
- To develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others.
- To promote, monitor and maintain best practice in health, safety and security of self and others in own work area.
- To appraise, interpret and apply suggestions, recommendations and directives to improve services.
- To contribute to quality improvement.
- To promote people's equality, diversity and rights.
- To contribute to promoting health and well-being and preventing adverse effects on health and well-being.
- To assess complex health and well-being needs and develop, monitor and review care-plans to meet those needs. To plan, deliver and evaluate care to address people's complex health and well-being needs
