Full Job Description
- To Support Co-Pack Manager in day to day functions
- To effectively motivate, lead and manage the co pack operations team
- Ensure the final product meets client specifications
- To effectively maximise production efficiency to ensure plan is met on an hourly/daily basis
- To manage the operation in line with the Quality Management System e.g. quality records and checks carried out by the function.
- Effectively use the onsite Warehouse Management systems
- To provide feedback for capacity plans in line with Co Pack managers expectations based on customer forecasts to assist in highlighting future resource constraints
- Ensure products are in line with the agreed Quality standards and ensure the final product meets client specifications.
- To ensure plan is met on an hourly/Shift basis and manage changeover of lines/product and sign off ready for production runs
- Liaise with other key departments, internally & externally to support overall efficiencies.
- Ensure production process efficiency targets are communicated, owned, targeted and delivered. e.g. labour and waste
- Liaise with internal departments providing effective communication of production requirement
- Fully utilise systems available to drive Continuous Improvement in all areas of the Co-pack operation.
- Ensure that all areas comply with hygienic audits, both internal and external and GMP (good manufacturing practices) and housekeeping (clean as you go) are strictly adhered to
- To support in ensuring all training / skills matrixes are up to date. Identify and manage any gaps as required to support the development of production workers to deliver the production plan.
- To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures
- To act as a role model for best practice
- Play an active part in continuous improvement
- To undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, that reasonably fall within the scope and grade of the post This list is not exhaustive and the successful position holder may be required to carry out any task which the Company might reasonably require you to do. This is inclusive of moving regular hours to support production requirements in a supervisory capacity.
