We are looking for a commercial, technology and outsourcing associate (c.2-6 PQE). The ideal candidate will be an excellent technical lawyer, with a commercial approach to negotiations and resolving issues. With a one team approach, you will work closely with lawyers based in Bristol and London. Our Bristol office continues to see exciting growth, as we welcome Alastair Mitton (Partner) - he joins our commercial and IP lawyers based in Bristol. You will typically have an opportunity to be involved in a wide selection of work, but your primary role will be leading and supporting on commercial contracts, outsourcing (whether BPO, IT or otherwise) and core technology contracts (such as cloud computing, systems development/integration and digital transformation) across sectors, with a particular focus on contracts and negotiations in the context of the retail & consumer, business support services and fintech sectors. Together with extensive experience in these areas, experience in the following would be valued:

• general commercial contracts e.g., supply of goods and/or services (B2B and B2C), agency, distribution, joint ventures and collaboration agreements and payment service agreements; and
• data protection and general technology and advisory work (e.g. the regulation of the use of AI).

• 2-6 years of PQE or equivalent relevant expertise in commercial contracts, technology and outsourcing
