This is a key leadership position within UCB, essential to the strategic direction and impact of the charity's mission. As a member of the Executive Board, you will work closely with our Board of Trustees and lead the Communications Department in executing UCB's vision. Your role will include responsibility for driving UCB's mission across fundraising, strategic partnerships, marketing, and public relations, ensuring all activities are aligned with our organisational goals.
You will have direct responsibility for inspiring and leading a highly motivated and skilled Communications and PR & Marketing team. You will lead the development and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies and initiatives, ensuring UCB's growth and sustainability. A key part of your role will be to establish & cultivate relationships with new and existing supporters, raise awareness of UCB's impact, and expand engagement with financial supporters, partners, and the Church.
As a strategic leader, you will have proven experience in developing and delivering fundraising and marketing strategies, understanding the supporter journey and applying creativity to optimise engagement. You will be responsible for raising UCB's profile, effectively communicating its work and impact across multiple media channels and helping to position UCB as a trusted partner for individuals and ministries.
You will be passionate about people and committed to using the power of the gospel to change lives. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience at a senior level, with a degree or equivalent experience. Strong digital literacy is essential, and knowledge of CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365) is a key requirement. You should have the ability to analyse philanthropic trends, develop data-driven strategies, and manage multiple priorities while leading your team to success. Membership of the Institute of Fundraising is desirable but not essential.
