We are currently recruiting for a Community Specialty Doctor in the Trust's Parent Infant Perinatal Mental Health Service. The main team base is at Barley Court, Goodmayes Hospital, Barley Lane, Ilford, Essex, IG3 8XJ.
This is an new, substantive, full-time post - 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 8:2). This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join 3wte Consultant Psychiatrists (Drs Neha Rawat, Montserrat Fuste, and Wendy Smethurst), 0.2wte Senior Trainee, and 1wte Core Trainee within the service, and will have
the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work., · Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs, across Redbridge, Havering, and Barking and Dagenham.
· Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
· Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
· Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
· Work alongside the 3wte Perinatal Consultant Psychiatrists, 0.2wte Senior Trainee, and 1wte Core Trainee, within the service, and share clinical supervision requirements with them.
· Develop links already established with the local acute trusts' A&E departments and inpatient wards.
· Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
· Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
· Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.

· Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
· Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
· Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
· At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
