Full Job Description
The Swaffham and Downham Therapy team has an exciting opportunity to recruit a Community Assistant Practitioner for 22. 30 hours per week. The role as an autonomous practitioner involves patient assessment, goal setting, implementation of treatment plans and primary prevention strategies. The team cover a wide variety of conditions within a community setting, a current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle will be essential for this role., You will need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, problem solving skills and be resilient and able to cope in changing and challenging situations. You will work under the direction of our Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists, but will also be required to work autonomously. Previous experience of working within a community setting or within a therapy based team would be desirable. Patient visits in the in the community may be planned or unplanned depending on the need of the patient. The post covers the Downham area and your base will be Downham medical Centre.
Supervision will be provided by Band 6 Occupational Therapist or Band 6 Physiotherapist. We offer the opportunity to work in an experienced and supportive team with opportunities for on-going professional development.
