This is an exciting opportunity to help drive positive change in Pendle. It's a borough with plenty going on; a place of vibrant and diverse communities.


We're looking for a dynamic, passionate person to join our Policy Team to lead and drive community development to support implementation of our Plan for Neighbourhoods. Supported by the Programme Manager, you'll work with local resident and Community, Voluntary and Faith sector groups/organisations to ensure the community is at the heart of all projects and initiatives. You'll work to increase capacity of the local community to maximise the social, economic, health and environmental benefits of regeneration to help revitalise the Nelson area.


The Borough of Pendle lies in Lancashire's beautiful Pennines and is within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District, and the city of Manchester.


Pendle Borough Council offers an excellent work-life balance including flexitime with no core hours, up to 2 days flexi leave a month, compressed working options and up to 31 days annual leave.


This role is likely to be on a Flexible Contract as defined by our Agile Working Policy. The minimum frequency for in-office attendance will be two or three times per week, however it could be more frequent based on the demands of the service. We therefore expect candidates to reside within a commutable distance from Nelson, Lancashire.
