Full Job Description
Our public sector client is seeking an experienced Compliance Contract Supervisor to join their team on a temporary basis. Location - Coalville LE67 Pay Rate - £20.88ph The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property inspection, reporting, and contract supervision within the property maintenance, construction, and social housing sectors. The role requires an in-depth understanding of property maintenance standards, CDM regulations, and compliance requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and providing leadership to a team of inspectors and contractors.,
- Property Inspections & Reporting: Conduct thorough property inspections and generate detailed reports in line with industry standards, focusing on social housing improvements, planned, and cyclical maintenance.
- Contract Supervision: Supervise the implementation of contracts, ensuring that work is carried out according to the specifications and within budget. Manage the day-to-day operations, resolving any issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Oversee and manage a team of inspectors and contractors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality performance and adherence to deadlines. Monitor staff performance and ensure that targets and objectives are met.
- Specification & Contract Understanding: Review and understand project specifications and contracts, ensuring all work complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide recommendations for improvements and ensure all work is executed as per the agreed terms.
- Health and Safety Management: Ensure that health and safety protocols are followed on site, utilizing your NEBOSH/IOSH certification to manage risk assessments, safety audits, and ensuring the safe execution of all tasks.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, progress reports, and any deviations from planned work. Submit reports on project status, risk assessments, and compliance issues as necessary.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Provide updates, address concerns, and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- ONC Building Studies, CIH/CIB Level 4 Certificate in Housing Maintenance, or an equivalent recognized industry qualification.
- NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate in Managing Safety or an equivalent recognized industry qualification.
- Experience:
- Proven experience in property inspection and reporting, particularly within property maintenance or construction sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in social housing improvements, planned, and cyclical maintenance projects.
- Experience working in a supervisory role, with a track record of managing teams and contractors effectively.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of specifications, contracts, and the ability to interpret and apply them.
- Detailed knowledge of CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations within the property maintenance and construction sectors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring compliance with all regulations. Desirable Attributes:
