Full Job Description
- Preparing detailed cost estimates, tenders, and budgets for major construction projects.
- Conducting take-offs and producing accurate BOQs (Bills of Quantities).
- Analyzing project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
- Identifying potential risks and value engineering opportunities within estimates.
- Working closely with the pre-construction and project teams to ensure alignment between estimating and project delivery.
- Keeping up to date with market trends, material costs, and industry regulations.
- Supporting the development of bid proposals and tender submissions.
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, working closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids., Proven experience with major projects as a Construction Estimator within the construction industry. - Strong knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- A proactive and results-driven approach to work.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field are advantageous.
