Full Job Description

You will join a team of three highly skilled and experienced Gynae-Oncology Consultants, providing comprehensive care for patients with gynaecological cancers. The role will involve the full spectrum of gynaecological surgery, outpatient clinics, and active participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Delivering high quality clinical care to patients with gynaecological cancers
· Performing complex oncological surgeries
· Leading outpatient clinics and contributing to diagnostic pathways
· Participating in MDT discussions and decision-making
· Teaching and supervising junior medical staff, including registrars and medical students
· Engaging in clinical research and contributing to ongoing developments in gynae-oncology
· Participating in the on-call rota to ensure continuity of care for in-patients
Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantive Consultant Gynae-Oncologist to join the team at University Hospital of Wales (UHW) due to the retirement of a valued Consultant. You will be able to take advantage of the excellent Consultant contract for Wales. The basic salary range for this post is £100,000 per annum to £146,000 per annum.
Applicants must ensure they provide names and contact details of referees covering at least the last 3 years of their employment/training history in full. In addition, applicants who are currently or have most recently been employed as a substantive Consultant or as a Locum Consultant in post for more than 12 months must also provide the name of their Medical Director as an additional referee.
