Applicants are invited for the post of Consultant in Spinal Rehabilitation to help develop and support existing spinal rehabilitation services in our new purpose-built unit at University Hospital Llandough (UHL)., The Spinal Injuries Unit provides care for adults from a wide geographical area, including South and Mid Wales, and the postholder will be expected to provide medical support to the inpatients on West 8, run weekly outpatient clinics and also provide an outreach service to those patients awaiting admission to the unit.

A motivated and enthusiastic colleague is required to join the current team of five rehabilitation Consultants (across both spinal and neuro rehabilitation) and applicants should have at least two years postgraduate training in spinal rehabilitation.

Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements.

Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.

You will be able to take advantage of the excellent Consultant contract for Wales. The basic salary range for this post is £100,000 per annum to £146,000 per annum.
