As such we are looking for a highly motivated, resilient Corporate Asset Manager who has worked at management or supervisory level in an assets or buildings management role within Local Government or a similar complex organisation. You will have a professional knowledge base of asset management along with experience of contract management, procurement, managing budgets, health and safety in construction, managing compliance within buildings and general property maintenance including detailed understanding of relevant legislation in these areas. You will be capable of effective communication with people at all levels both internally within the organisation and externally, with negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade when necessary. You will also have IT skills sufficient to use Microsoft Office packages in your day-to-day work and be able to organise workloads effectively with developed networking and partnership working skills. Applicants must also be Educated to a minimum of Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area with Chartered Membership of a technical body such as the RICS (MRICS) or CIOB or be working towards such professional status.
