The key aim of the role is to facilitate cover for the planned and unplanned absence of teachers. The Cover Supervisor will be required to manage groups of up to 30 students. Typically, cover work is independent in nature and does not require teaching. The Cover Supervisor is supported at the beginning and the end of lessons by the Head of Department or Deputy Head of Department. Clear systems are in place to assist the Cover Supervisor at all times.
