Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. The Faculty Outreach team are seeking to recruit 4x students currently studying at either SODA, Manchester School of Art/Design, Manchester School of Architecture and Manchester Fashion Institute to support with chaperoning groups attending the Introduction to the Creative and Digital Industries Taster Day. The aim of the taster day is to give Year 12 students, who are interested in studying a creative and/or digital subject at university, an insight into the lesser-known careers within the industry and the range of creative and digital courses available at university to help students make more informed choices. The students attending will be studying a range of subjects across digital, art and design, and therefore, the workshops should give a broad-brush stroke of the subject area. The workshops will span Manchester School of Art/Design, Manchester School of Architecture, Manchester Fashion Institute and SODA. You will be expected to provide a positive and informative perspective on all aspects of studying here at Manchester Met and being a part of the Manchester Met University community. Responsibilities:
- You will be assigned a group (no more than 25 x first and second year college students).
- You will also be required to offer their support to the tutor and be actively involved during the creative workshop session.
- Chaperone and move groups between sessions throughout the day
- Answer questions about university as you walk the students around. You can direct complex questions to Outreach and teaching staff

Essential - Currently studying at either SODA, Manchester School of Art/Design, Manchester School of Architecture and Manchester Fashion Institute
- General knowledge of Information and Guidance (IAG) and able to share own experiences.
- Confident when working with groups. Desirable
