An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and motivated individuals to join our fantastic team of CT/MI Radiographers at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust
We are looking for qualified diagnostic Radiographers that are interested in joining the CT team undertaking training to progress to a CT radiographer
The department offers a supportive and encouraging environment in which to work as a professional. You will be expected to work in CT while also supporting the MRI service. There is also potential to progress into MRI training in the future should the interest be there.
We are in exciting process of expanding our service and the posts are 37.5 hours per week covering a 24 hours 7 day per week shift system., To support the team to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the area that you are working in, always maintaining and displaying the right care behaviours as set out in trust policy.
Undertake the PgCert in Computed Tomography
Main area of responsibility to be in CT
To perform all CT to the highest standard using acquired skills and experience.
To work within the radiographic area of CT and as such be accountable for your own actions.
To have an active role in audit and clinical governance within Radiology.
To administer medicines for the purposes of diagnostic Radiology examinations according to Patient Group Directives (PGD) instructions.
To be competent to perform IV cannulation on a broad range of patients. To safely administer contrast agents using high pressure injectors, or to be willing to undergo cannulation training.
Fulfill duties working unsociable hours and lone working scenarios
To have an active role in the training of students in CT and MR scanning
To work broadly according to evidence based practice protocols developed within the department for a range of CT examinations.
You will be accountable for own professional actions encouraging and participate in continuous professional development (CPD).
