The Curriculum Manager will play a vital role in ensuring our programs meet these demands, equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills to succeed. This role involves leading the development of an innovative curriculum, working closely with industry partners, and ensuring high-quality teaching methods that are both inclusive and student-centred. The manager will be instrumental in ensuring that our curriculum remains relevant, incorporating the latest industry standards and trends. The Curriculum Manager is pivotal in influencing the direction of our programs, ensuring they provide students with the best possible foundation for careers in engineering, automotive, and digital fields. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on students' futures while contributing to the growth of industries vital to technological advancement and sustainability. About the Role Role Responsibilities
- Leadership and management of curriculum.
- Leadership of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Leadership and Management of team.
- Maintenance of appropriate records and documentation.
- Maintenance of appropriate continuing professional development and general aspects of role.
A minimum of level 5 qualification in a relevant subject area - Evidence of continuous professional development
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths Essential Skills & Experience
- Successfully leading and managing a high performing team
- Curriculum development and innovation.
- Improving the quality of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Raising standards of student/apprentice experience, progress and destination.
- Links with industry to inform curriculum development/offer.
Northumberland College is the only college in the county serving, the communities of Northumberland, offering a diverse curriculum from Entry level to Level 6, discrete SEND provision and Apprenticeships. We have three campuses based in Berwick, Ashington, and Kirkley Hall, and in October 2024 we achieved an Outstanding rating from Ofsted, in addition to being the top Performing Land based College in the Northeast.
