Cyber Engineer

FM Conway is currently seeking a Cyber Engineer to join our innovative Business Transformation team. You will play a key role in ensuring a high level of governance within FM Conway, taking on the continual development of security processes ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical business information assets. The role will support the ongoing compliance and maintenance of ISO 27001 certification and the day to day management of information security risk and reporting. This is a permanent, full time position based from Sevenoaks.

The duties of the Information Cyber Engineer role will include:

- Designing and deploying cybersecurity solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security

- Monitoring systems, analysing alerts, and responding to incidents, including breach investigation and remediation

- Conducting security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans to address risks

- Managing access policies, MFA, and least-privilege principles

- Ensuring compliance with frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR) and developing security policies

- Developing automation scripts (Python, PowerShell) for threat detection and security operations

- Collaborating with IT, DevOps, and developers to integrate security into apps and infrastructure, plus employee training, The FM Conway Business Transformation team are an innovative, hardworking and ambitious area of the business who play a significant role in our technology strategy. We have a broad range of services including AI and Infratech platforms. These are enabled through a strong project portfolio supporting an eclectic user community. You will be working closely with our growing Business Transformation and Technology team including Solutions Architects, Business Analysts, Project Managers and Information Security professionals.

We're seeking a passionate and driven Cyber Engineer with expertise in information security management. The ideal candidate will hold relevant qualifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ and possess a strong understanding of scan results and reports. A solid knowledge of GDPR is also essential to excel in this role.
