The Decommissioning Technical team is responsible for processing and facilitating large scale legacy Data Center equipment through a liquidation process to ensure that targeted equipment is ready to be removed off premises. Team members will also process large volumes of customer data to ensure that all customer data is sanitized and properly managed.
This position requires candidate to be a self-starter, highly motivated individuals who can adhere to strict processes and be able to perform repetitive tasks with no deviation and demonstrate continuously consistent results. Team Members will be working in a team environment not only with other members of the team but also working with other teams and must be able to communicate and promote cross-team functionality.
There may be an element of shift based work and physically demanding work required with this role.

A day in the life
The decom team operates across all Data Centers in the region and carry out a number of activities to ensure that our services are able to scale to fulfill customer capacity demand. The team contributes to this by decommissioning legacy racks to free up positions for reuse. These activities require strong cross team collaboration with the security, logistics, environment, safety, data center engineering and data center operations internal teams. The team also manage vendors and engage with colo management as part of this role.

· High school or equivalent diploma
· Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair (Not too much of a dealbreaker - nice to have)
Preferred qualifications
· Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
· Experience working in a colocation data center facility
