Full Job Description

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Contribute to multiple projects with direct impact on clinical operations.
  • Design and implement advanced data science solutions using statistical models and machine learning techniques.
  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality code to ensure robust data solutions.
  • Collaborate with study teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data science applications.
  • Engage as an integral member of a cross-functional team to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

    Extensive expertise in statistical modelling, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques.
  • Proficient in R and Python with deep programming expertise. Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and effective communication between diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in clinical trial operations and patient recruitment.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with familiarity with big data technologies like Spark.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and technical teams.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Comprehensive experience across the product development lifecycle-from ideation and prototyping to production and iteration-ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

Biostatistics is the single-largest functional group of Statisticians, Programmers and Data Scientists within GSK R&D, numbering approx. 900 permanent people in the US, UK, Europe and India.
