Our Community Team provides sessional support enabling Individuals to access activities of their choice within their local communities.

The main purpose of the role would be to consider the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of any Individual receiving support - whilst making peoples' sessions enjoyable and meaningful.

A person-centered approach to support for Individuals will ensure that opportunities to promote their independence, maintain friendships and improve their wellbeing will be achieved.

To ensure our services are maintained, all day service assistants will need to work flexibly with us to ensure the level of support required is available. This will mean that the ability to work over a 7 day period is an essential requirement of the role. This could include weekend and evening working. You may be required to work in any area within the County Borough during your working week.

A level 2 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training).
An understanding of disability issues such as empowerment, choice and advocacy.
The ability to work in accordance with the Social Care Wales "Code of Professional Practice and Guidance for Social Care" in respect of Workers and Employers.
A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business/work to transport individuals throughout the county borough., Disability Confident
