Full Job Description
We now have a vacancy for a full time Decontamination Quality Manager to work with the Hospital's Sterilisation and Disinfection Unit (HSDU) at the Royal Oldham Hospital, which is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust.
The HSDU is responsible for the decontamination and sterilisation of invasive reusable medical devices. The HSDU is a purpose-built facility at the Royal Oldham Hospital and serves as the sterile services department for the organisation and beyond, ensuring that medical devices are made safe for use between each patient. The service is quality-driven, in line with the departments ISO 13485 Accreditation.
The successful candidate will assist in providing a specialised decontamination and resupply of medical devices service, contributing to the clinical care of the patient., + To support the provision of a specialised decontamination service contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
+ To perform a full range of decontamination duties, with senior accountability within department.
+ To work independently in all areas of the specialty and as an autonomous practitioner.
+ To manage decontamination records in own area of work.
+ To apply professional judgement and utilise specialist skills and detailed scientific knowledge when reviewing and interpreting technical data and production reports to ensure a safe service is provided.
+ To provide a high-quality and timely service to all customers/service users.
+ To supervise, organise, allocate work and train less experienced/qualified staff.
+ To assist with the development of the Department's Standard Operating Procedures in accordance with Quality Management Systems and ensure staff compliance to them.
+ To plan your own workload and work with minimal managerial direction.
