Full Job Description

  • Effective and efficient engagement with all processes required to support the provision of clinical care

  • Ensure all activities are undertaken in compliance with Equality and Diversity regulations for staff, students and patients
  • Ensure all clinicians and students are adhering to policies, protocols and processes

    Additional dental qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
  • Computer literacy, including competence with Microsoft Office and R4. Full training will be given

    • This post requires Hepatitis B immunisation and other health clearance as stipulated by Occupational Health. Staff on 52 week contracts must take the majority of their annual leave allocation outside of term time. Requests for annual leave within term-time will only be granted if the functioning of the clinics will not be compromised.

    We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Dental Nurse to join our growing team, initially based in our Plymouth facilities but we have an ambition to expand into a new Dental Education Practice (DEP) in Plymouth City Centre in the next few years. The DEP will provide an innovative model of care comprising urgent and stabilisation dental care, and general and specialist dentistry delivered alongside placements for undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as trainees undertaking dental foundation training.

    To support our growing team and the opening of the DEP, we are looking for Dental Nurses to work on 38 week contracts, with a starting salary pro-rata to £27,855. Ideally we are looking for individuals who wish to work between 3 - 5 days per week. This role includes:
  • 6.6 weeks holiday entitlement (pro rata), increasing after 5 years' service. Payment for holiday is included within the annual salary.
