Full Job Description
- Co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure that individual need is met.
- Assist the Registered Manager in ensuring that there is an appropriate Statement of Purpose for the home and that this document is updated on a regular basis.
- Organise, deliver and co-ordinate induction, supervision, appraisal and support to individual staff.
- Assist the Registered Manager in providing operational management of the staff team and to deploy staff resources in order that key objectives are fulfilled.
- Ensure that the standards within the home are maintained and developed in line with the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Children's Homes Regulations 2001.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment paying particular attention to Health and Safety legislation and environmental health needs.
- To work proactively with monitoring bodies to ensure that services are developing beyond the set standards.
DipSW, CQSW, NVQ 3/4/5 in Working with Young People / adult Management or a willingness to work towards this. - Proven experience at Senior level in a Residential Home for adults/young people
- Able to demonstrate advanced practice skills and experience in managing challenging behaviour.
- Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC fundamental working standards and regulations.
- Working knowledge of the National Care Standards, Care Act and Regulations.
- Good attention to detail and work to high standards.
- Work using own initiative, taking full ownership.
- Ability to develop and encourage professional growth in others.
