Deputy Nurse Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nurse Manager to join our client's dynamic healthcare team at their nursing home for older adults. As a key member of their leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to their residents. This position requires a compassionate and skilled Registered General Nurse (Adult) with a strong background in supervising staff and a deep understanding of elderly care.,

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure the well-being and comfort of our elderly residents
• Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement care plans and policies that uphold the highest standard of nursing care for older adults
• Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for the nursing team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards for elderly care
• Play a key role in quality and clinical governance, leading audits and ensuring continuous improvement in care delivery for our older residents
• Contribute to staff development and training programs, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that focuses on the specific needs of elderly residents
• Act as an advocate for residents, families, and staff, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed with empathy and professionalism, taking into account the unique challenges of elderly care
  
  RGN (Registered General Nurse) qualification with a valid UK NMC Pin
• Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursing home or healthcare setting specifically catering to older adults
• In-depth knowledge of elderly care and a commitment to promoting the well-being and quality of life of elderly patients
• Strong understanding of quality and clinical governance, with the ability to lead and implement improvement initiatives within a nursing home for older adults
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders in an elderly care environment
• Dedication to upholding ethical and professional standards in nursing practice, with a focus on the unique needs of older adults
  
  Salary: up to £60,000 dependent on experience
40 hours per week - Candidates must be flexible to work a mixture of supernumerary and clinical hours (including 12-hour shifts) and some weekends for on-call duties.
