Quarry Bank Primary School is a happy, nurturing and caring school that aims to provide the highest quality education for children from 3 to 11 years in a fantastic, modern building. We are a 1.5 form entry school with 45 children per year group.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pastoral Lead with a passion for supporting children's social, emotional and mental health needs. This is a full-time, permanent position, within a caring, dedicated and friendly team who support one another to be their best. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-read, experienced and highly capable individual, who feels they are able to lead the practice and the development of others. The DDSL (Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead) element of the role is crucial and appropriate training will be sought for the appropriate candidate should this be required.
We are looking for a person who:
- Puts children at the heart of everything they do
- Is passionate about implementing pastoral support both in and outside the classroom
- Is experienced in supporting families access programmes of support
- Is able to lead and implement whole-school pastoral initiatives
- Is well organised, thoughtful and able to work effectively in a team
- Is able to confidently engage with other agencies, including Children's Services
- Is self-motivated and determined to build upon their professional development
- Is a committed life-long learner who understands that challenge is how we grow
- Is confident in challenging colleagues, particularly with decisions regarding responses to safeguarding matters
