Full Job Description
As an intern you will work on a specific, meaningful project, supporting the MSCI Sustainability Institute. The experience could involve helping with conducting research, analytical tasks involving programing, and supporting the pro-active management of stakeholder relationships. You will gain hands-on experience working with sustainable finance datasets used by institutional investors to examine trends and generate insights. A key aspect of the role is collaborating with senior researchers at MSCI and external organizations to contribute to research papers. The ideal candidate should be comfortable conducting in-depth research, synthesizing findings, and co-authoring publications that advance thought leadership.,

Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Finance, Sustainability). - MBA candidates preferred but not required.
- Strong interest in financial markets and sustainability, with a preference for candidates who have an understanding of private markets (private equity and credit).
- Strong communication and quantitative skills
- Strong ability to code and visualize data - competence Python strongly preferable
- Some exposure to the academic literature on ESG/sustainable finance.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for excellence
- Navigate hurdles with entrepreneurial spirit to develop new business
- High attention to detail and good team player
- Strong analytical, data driven and problem-solving skills, ability to break down complex issues
- Ability to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints
