Full Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to experience working on a multi-brand Design System at scale. Our Design System currently supports eight brands, serves hundreds of designers and thousands of engineers, to create experiences for millions of customers. You will be joining an exceptional multi-disciplinary central Design System team and responsible for designing styles, components and patterns that make up digital user interfaces for all LBG brands. Whether it's contributing to workshops, advising on best practice or responding to research, you should be a design advocate and understand how to apply design principles to make accessible customer experiences. As a Design System designer, you will be involved in the following: Product:

  • Help to create, maintain and manage a multi-brand design system.
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to take components and patterns from concept, through design to documentation and code.
  • Take part in product design reviews from a usability, brand consistency and accessibility perspective.
  • Advocate and provide support for LBG design libraries to the engineering and design communities.
  • Help drive design system adoption across the group.
  • Team:
  • Seek opportunities to improve design system workflows.
  • Pursue and engage in opportunities for own personal development.
  • Brand:
  • Help evolve the digital brand across platforms and devices.
  • Champion the customer and ensure LBG products and services meet their needs.

    Advanced competency with Figma. You must be able to demonstrate component construction using variables or Design Tokens and effectively communicate your process.
  • Demonstratable interest and focus on digital accessibility
  • Good technical understanding of designing for digital experiences.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with other design disciplines, writers, and engineers.
  • Desirable:
  • Real-world experience of maintaining and distributing Figma libraries.
  • Experience of working in a dedicated design system team.
  • Although there is no requirement to be able to write code, some understanding of, or a willingness to learn about, core web technologies (HTML, CSS) and component API design would be beneficial.
