Do you have a passion for Nutrition? Are you interested in working alongside registered dietitians to provide care and support as part of the oncology team at Harrogate Hospital? This is a fixed term /secondment project post (until 31/03/2026) to support the delivery of a high-quality specialist therapy service to patients under the care of the HDFT Specialist Haemato-Oncology and Palliative Care (HOP) therapy team.The post holder will work alongside the band 6 Specialist Oncology Dietitian, and specialist Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists within the multidisciplinary team. The wider dietetic department offers excellent support for professional development and participates in the training of student dietitians on A, B and C placements and have recently been awarded Team of The Month at HDFT., The Dietetic Associate Practitioner will support the Oncology Dietitian to provide nutritional support and interventions for patients under the care of the HOP team and under the supervision and direction of the dietitian. Optimising peoples nutritional intake using food based strategies and within protocol supporting oral nutritional supplements.
