The Junior Digital Designer brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a keen eye for design to support the wider creative team. They work closely with the Marketing, Digital, and Development teams to create engaging digital assets across multiple channels, including web, email, social media, and advertising. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in digital design, UI/UX principles, and brand storytelling.,

• Assist in designing high-quality digital assets that align with brand guidelines
• Respond to creative briefs and contribute ideas to meet project requirements
• Collaborate with the Marketing, Digital, and Development teams to develop engaging visuals
• Support in producing concepts, mock-ups, and simple wireframes to illustrate ideas
• Learn and apply UI/UX best practices to enhance digital designs
• Work with the Creative Manager to ensure design consistency across all assets
• Adapt and roll out creative concepts across emails, social media, banners, and other digital channels
• Assist in maintaining brand standards and design systems
• Participate in team discussions to explore new creative trends and share insights
• Receive training in motion graphics and video editing to expand creative capabilities
  
  While prior experience across all digital media isn't required, a strong foundation in design principles and a willingness to learn are essential. As part of their development, the Junior Digital Designer will receive training in motion graphics and video editing, so an interest in or basic experience with this area would be an advantage., A strong portfolio showcasing creative flair and design ability
• Some proven experience in digital design whether through coursework, internships, freelance projects, or personal creative work
• Familiarity with Adobe Suite software: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• A willingness to learn and develop new skills, particularly in motion graphics and video editing
• Strong attention to detail with an understanding of design principles, composition, typography, layout and colour
• Understanding of brand consistency and its importance in marketing
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to take direction while working collaboratively in a team, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
Desirable
• Basic experience in motion graphics or video editing (e.g. Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro)
• Some knowledge of UI/UX design and digital best practices
• Exposure to UX tools such as Sketch, Figma or Adobe XD
• Interest in learning front-end design principles and how designs translate to web development, Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Willingness to learn industry-standard wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch)
• Able to utilise browser developer tools such as Chrome Inspect in order to evaluate and tweak HTML/CSS in order to make suggestions to developers and colleagues alike
Desirable
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects
• Familiarity with Canva or other online design tools
• Interest in HTML/CSS or experience working alongside developers
Educational Requirements Essential
• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above including Maths and English
• 3 A levels (or equivalent OND in Design) at grade C or above
Desirable
• A HND, degree, or relevant qualification in digital design, graphic design, or a related creative field
• Alternative routes such as an apprenticeship or certificates from online courses with a portfolio of work
