Full Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Thurrock to assist with the appointment of a Digital Forensics Investigator, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.,

  • To investigate allegations of fraud, corruption or other irregularity alleged to have been committed against the council or its partners, including jointly with other agencies.
  • To maintain the highest level of integrity and performance in delivering services to the council and partners.
  • To have a broad knowledge of employment law in relation to internal investigations and disciplinary action.
  • To attend search and seizure operations executed by the department against criminals, anywhere in the UK, providing expert advice on the correct identification and seizure of computer related material.
  • To undertake examinations of electronic material seized in criminal investigations, this may include computers, mobile phones and other devices.

    Experience in using relevant tools to conduct forensic analysis of computers and mobile phones, such as EnCase, AXIOM, FTK, XWays, NUIX, Paraben, Cellebrite or XRY.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems and terminology, able to explain their use to persons with little or no experience.
  • Relevant law enforcement related accreditation in investigations such as ACFS, BITS or PIP2 (Detective Foundation/Advanced) and experience.
