Full Job Description
To work with colleagues in the Business Development and Fundraising Team, as well as with the wider staff team to drive forward income generation, reach new audiences and engage with a wider supporter basis via the use of digital channels.
To plan and deliver a simple yet effective Digital Fundraising strategy which will achieve agreed targets including income, donor acquisition and event participation.
Main Role
To attract donations by working on long and short-term fundraising strategies, broadening our online fundraising presence and maximising income.
To motivate, engage and inspire supporters to maximise the funds they raise.
Inspire new supporters to make the Fishermen's Mission their chosen charity
To set up long-term relationships with new and existing digital supporters.
To develop and devise new and imaginative online fundraising activities as well as working closely to support the fundraising and digital team.
To identify digital sources of funding to support the charity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on the creation of engaging and persuasive content for fundraising appeals and events achieving agreed budgets and targets, reporting on outcomes and financial performance.
Manage and grow online donation platforms and ensure all donation tools are optimised.
Work closely with Digital Engagement Officer to plan, create, and publish content on the Fishermen's Mission's website and social media platforms, ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative.
To develop and oversee online 'In Memory' giving via the 'Much Loved' platform.
Identify and make recommendations for the development of new online fundraising activities and campaigns.
Provide outstanding supporter care, ensuring exceptional experiences for our donors and supporters.
Use data analysis and segmentation to effectively target appropriate audiences and maximise fundraising income.
Work closely with the fundraising teams to ensure alignment in messaging and provide support for campaigns.
Stay updated on trends and innovations in digital fundraising to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
You Will Be Successful in This Role If You:
Have a proven track record of delivering successful and impactful appeals or direct marketing campaigns.
Are looking for an opportunity to develop your career in fundraising at a dynamic and successful national charity.
Possess excellent organisational, IT skills, and an understanding of digital platforms to maximise fundraising income.

Terms and Conditions
Based: Remote
Annual Salary: c£29,000
Probationary period: 3 months.
Group personal pension plan: available on satisfactory completion of 3 months service. Salary exchange is also available.
Income Protection: 75% of salary after 6 months of sickness absence for specific conditions
Life Assurance: up to four times annual salary.
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus public holidays.

About The Fishermen's Mission
The Fishermen's Mission provides emergency and welfare assistance to active and retired commercial fishermen and their families through practical, spiritual and pastoral support. Every year we help thousands of beneficiaries, many in desperate circumstances.
Frontline operations are delivered through a network of full and part-time Port Staff, along with a number of volunteers that is spread around the coast of UK including Northern Ireland. The larger fishing ports have centres that provide basic domestic and recreational facilities, while others have welfare offices and some areas are covered by staff alone. The Port Staff is on-call 24/7 365 to respond to accidents and injuries at sea.
