Full Job Description
You will facilitate the Family Group Conference, bringing together children's support networks of family members and friends to find safe solutions including:
- Acting as an independent and neutral facilitator of the Family Group Conference Process.
- Responsibility for the preparation, planning, coordination, facilitation and review of the Family Group Conference that responds to the needs of the individual families from a diversity of backgrounds.
- promoting quality planning, decision making and practice for children and families.
NVQ Level 4 or evidence of training within the delivery of Family Group Conference (by an accredited organisation) - experience of delivering evidence based direct work with children, their families and carers in a statutory or voluntary agency which provides services to vulnerable children and their families.
- the ability to work within a complex system and find simple solutions and outcomes that deliver real change for our families.
- Passion and drive to support children to be safe and be able to remain within their family
- The ability to work as a team and autonomously and be willing to travel to meet with family members.
- Excellent skills in communication and understanding of family dynamics.
- The ability to work creatively, restoratively, to get the best out of children and their families through using relational and coaching techniques. Access to a car at all times, an essential car user allowance is paid.
