Director, Legal, Commercial Parternships

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead legal support for all commercial aspects of the business in the EMEA region, with occasional support for other territories. This senior role requires a seasoned lawyer to manage complex contracts, provide strategic legal advice, and drive key commercial initiatives. Covering a 12 month maternity cover you will be responsible for the following:

• Draft and negotiate bespoke agreements related to distribution, advertising, and commercial partnerships.
• Provide legal and strategic advice to internal teams on contractual rights and remedies.
• Offer ongoing business and legal counsel to support local teams.
• Supervise junior legal team members and liaise with specialists in the Legal team.
• Work closely with streaming and partnership teams to launch services and drive retail/wholesale deals.
• Support strategic initiatives, including joint ventures and partnerships.
• Oversee litigation and enforcement, managing external counsel as needed.
• Manage key regional and international deals and attend meetings abroad when required.
  
  UK-qualified lawyer (or equivalent) with extensive senior-level experience.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle complex commercial relationships.
• Proactive, flexible approach, with willingness to support deals beyond normal working hours.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Well-organised, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strategic, commercially aware, and able to deliver practical legal solutions.
