Employer: Odyssey Collaborative Trust
Starting Date: 1st September 2025
Annual Salary: Leadership scale. Competitive to reflect skills and experience of successful candidate.
Hours & Contract Type: Part-time, hours to be agreed with the successful candidate. Permanent.
Location: Schools in Derby.
Closing Date: 24th April 2025 at 12.00 noon - Interviews provisionally week beginning 28th April.
Summary Description
We are looking for an experienced school leader to join Odyssey Collaborative Trust's Central Team as Director of Education. This senior role is focused on supporting our schools to be the best that they can be. The role involves knowing our seven schools' contexts, strengths and areas for development and supporting them to improve. The successful candidate will work closely with our headteachers and other school staff, becoming a trusted source of advice and support.

We are looking for someone who is:
- An experienced and successful school leader.
- An inspirational and collaborative leader who has high expectations for our schools and the community of Derby.
- Build on the Trust's successes as well as helping us to improve further.
- Be a proactive part of the Trust's activities and be fully committed to supporting and improving all schools in the Trust.
- Be in possession of excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with a high level of integrity and strong moral purpose that aligns closely with the ethos of the school and the Trust.
This is a part-time, permanent role. The days worked will be agreed with the successful candidate.
