If you want to take more ownership of your career, then you're ready to be part of Groupon. As an Interim Director of Tax, EMEA & APAC, you will be joining our dynamic global tax team. You will be an integral part of the tax team reporting to the VP of Tax, based in the US. You will be responsible for International Tax and global Transfer Pricing. We partner closely with internal teams to identify and analyse the innovative activities and tax implications of our various business channels as the global e-commerce and mobile markets are continuously evolving. You will take on challenging projects that impact Groupon's worldwide effective tax rate and operations. Additionally you will work on matters including tax planning, transfer pricing and tax audits/litigations. We work flexibly in Groupon and have a hybrid working structure. You would be required to work in the office 2 days a week. About the job: Business Partnering: Partnering with key Business stakeholders across a multitude of departments and jurisdictions, functioning as a central point of contact for the tax team, advising on tax considerations arising from business proposals, and communicating tax issues in an uncomplicated and straightforward manner. Global Transfer Pricing: Oversight and responsibility for the management of our global structure and analysing the impact of any internal business proposals and/or tax law changes. Your team's responsibilities include managing our third party outsourcing engagement for the Local, Master File & CbCR compliance partnering with the accounting team to ensure our statutory accounts are in line with our transfer pricing policies, and ensuring we have implemented relevant processes and controls correctly. Team Management: You will have oversight and responsibility for the Senior International Tax Manager and International Tax Manager and their development. Tax Audits and Litigations: You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all non-U.S. income tax and transfer pricing audits and controversies This includes managing relationships and timelines with tax authorities, external tax advisors and tax counsel and the strategic approach for these matters including assessing potential and actual tax risks. Additionally, you will collaborate with key, legal counsel and external auditors on significant litigation matters, including presenting to senior leadership. Cash Management: You and your team will partner with the treasury and accounting teams in respect of intercompany balance settlements, funding needs, and advising on the repatriation of cash through the structure in the most tax efficient manner., Groupon's purpose is to build strong communities through thriving small businesses.
