Full Job Description
This is an exciting time to join an organisation that is using improvement methodology as its core operating system, that is empowering front line teams and clinicians to drive change and that is having huge success. This role will be a key player in driving SFT and the medicine division forward over the coming years.
You will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership and management of effective delivery of services within the clinical division of Medicine; compiling and developing business plans; meeting contracted activity within delegated budgets and achieving and maintaining agreed quality standards, risk management processes and Health and Safety requirements;
Work with the Chief Operating Officer to develop, direct and lead service improvement and performance strategies and policies to support the delivery of patient care within the Division; Provide operational management to the division with responsibility for the line management of all non-clinical employee within the Division, including the Service Managers and Heads f Department; Lead the Divisional leadership team in the delivery of emergency and elective activity across the divisional specialties.
Participate in the trusts on-call rota, The Divisional Director of Operations works as part of the leadership team with the Clinical Director and Divisional Head of Nursing. The Divisional Director of Operations will lead the Trust's Operational Divisions within which patient care is delivered. Each Division comprises a number of specialist areas and/or departments which are responsible for providing a particular range of specialist patient services and procedures., We continue to encourage and support our staff to participate in the seasonal respiratory vaccination programme in order to protect themselves, colleagues and their patients.
GETTING TO WORK
We offer parking on site at Salisbury District Hospital, a daily charge applies. We encourage our staff to utilise other green methods of getting to work such as cycling or walking where possible, and our Trust is well connected through the bus services to the city centre and other areas.
