Location: Cheadle Hulme School Reports To: Head of Drama and Senior Technician Commitment: Full-time, term time only Salary: £24,000 FTE (£20,584 actual) to £25,000 FTE (£21,442 actual) per annum based on experience About Cheadle Hulme School Cheadle Hulme School is a vibrant and supportive educational community, where the Drama Department is integral to the cultural fabric of the school. The Role We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Senior School Drama Technician to enhance and support our Drama Department's academic and co-curricular activities. The successful candidate will provide high-quality technical expertise, collaborate with our in-house Technical Services team, and play a key role in the setup and operation of all technical aspects for productions, ensuring a professional standard across all performances. Key Responsibilities
- Production & Design: Oversee and deliver technical design, stage construction, and hands-on support, including lighting, rigging, sound, projection, and special effects for school productions and assessments.
- Equipment Management: Source, create, and maintain all technical equipment, including lighting rigs, props, sound, and AV systems, ensuring all equipment meets school needs and safety standards.
- Student & Staff Collaboration: Partner with the Head of Drama to guide students in technical skills, assist in lessons on technical requirements, and support pupil technical teams for school events.
- Health & Safety: Conduct risk assessments for performance spaces, and work with caretaking staff to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Co-Curricular Contribution: Assist with and develop co-curricular activities or clubs related to technical production, stage design, and performance support. Staff Benefits
