Full Job Description

Calderdale College is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to work in our Additional Learner Services department. The post holder will ensure our learners with additional support needs receive appropriate support in order to achieve their learning goals.

You will provide specialist SpLD and dyslexia tuition for identified students and ensure that full and accurate assessment records and records of support are maintained. You will provide full diagnostic assessments, produce reports, make recommendations for support and exam concessions, and prepare students support plan and regularly review learner progress.

This role requires someone who is experienced in working with a disadvantaged client group and with learners who have disabilities. You must be approachable, have good motivational skills and be able to communicate effectively with a range of adults and learners., Experience of working in a post 16 education
Experience of assessing learning difficulties
Educated to a degree standard
Knowledge of school/education provision
Level 5 Teaching Qualification
