Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Specialised eHGV Transport Planner. Specialising in Electric Heavy Goods Vehicle (eHGV) planning means that you will be focused on the optimisation, charging and execution of our increasing number of Electric HGVs. These responsibilities often blend traditional logistics management alongside unique challenges related to electric vehicle operations. You will be driven to reducing KN's and our customer's Carbon emissions through maximising the electric vehicle's usage for various customer's needs. This role plays a key element in our journey to zero emissions by proactively integrating sustainable logistics. Mon to Fri - 10am 6.30pm,

  • Route planning and Optimisation , using a combination of depot and off site charging,
  • maximising logistics solutions within the framework of all road legislation, driving hours and WTD.
  • Reducing Carbon and measuring the difference in CO2 outputs between eHGV and Diesel
  • equivalents
  • Liaise with key stakeholders and customers to help transition supply chains to zero emissions
  • Communication via face to face, telephone and through messaging devices with drivers and
  • other internal colleagues
  • Pre brief and de-brief drivers on their daily runs.
  • Liaise with drivers on the road over operational issues
  • Data analysis and reporting. Responding to operational and financial KPI's in order to drive efficiency and sustainability in the Domestic Operation

    Experience of working in a busy transport operation and planning collection and delivery
  • activities is advantageous
  • Sustainability driven with Financial awareness
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
