ELSA

We are a unique Pupil Referral Unit with 'Good' status. We aim to make a difference to the education and life chances of vulnerable young people in the London Borough of Sutton.

We are looking for a strong and experienced Teaching Assistant with ELSA responsibilities to join us. This position will be Fixed Term until 02 March 2026.

You will primarily be based on our main school site but will also work within the BOOST Group, supporting students who have an EHCP. Experience of working with students with ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support) in a PRU setting would be an advantage.

You will have:

  • ELSA qualification and experience of delivering ELSA in a school setting;
  • Ability to deliver interventions/ develop strategies to support a variety of behaviours and emotions;
  • Experience of working with children with emotional and behavioural needs;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Experience of multi-agency working across statutory and/or voluntary organisations.
