An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic, forward thinking and rapidly expanding Energy Team in role of Operation & Maintenance Contract Manager.
The role will provide technical leadership and management of the existing Operation & Maintenance contractors responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of L&Q's district heating systems.
The post holder will measure performance against KPIs ensuring delivery of services by the contractors. They will ensure contractors are working to the terms of the contract, providing first time fixes where possible and attending to outages within agreed response times. They will oversee the completion of all works, ensuring L&Q are receiving value for money.
The Operation & Maintenance contract manager will collate data and reports to identify and deal with non-performance in line with the contracts. They will manage spend against budget ensuring components are not failing before predicted Lifecycle due to non-effective planned preventative maintenance. The role will also include working with our contractors to implement efficiency improvement projects and ensure all district heating energy schemes within L&Q Energy portfolio are regulatory compliant.
They will work with their colleagues in the Energy Operations team to assist in the implementation of processes for the continuous improvement of Operation & Maintenance activities.

Focused on ensuring we deliver an amazing customer experience, the successful candidate will be a high performing and ambitious leader and manager, with excellent contract management skills, vast experience and technical understanding of the district heating energy sectors, great attention to detail and willing to go the extra mile.
You will be required to demonstrate;
· Strong contract and supplier management skills, including knowledge and experience of managing planned preventative and reactive maintenance contracts for communal heating systems
· Finance & commercial experience: Must be financially astute with strong commercial acumen and experience in budgetary and financial control
· Understanding and experience of procurement via public procurement process e.g. through OJEU
· Strong technical knowledge of communal and district heating systems incorporating boilers, CHP units, ASHP, GSHP and metering systems
· Sector/specialist knowledge & experience, to include demonstrable experience in the field of building services engineering, specifically communal/district heating
