Full Job Description
- Support the development of an integrated community engagement and public relations strategy for the whole project.
- Engage proactively with the interface and delivery teams to review construction impacts and minimise effects on stakeholders.
- Support the projects to promote a positive image of the project and raise public awareness of the benefits of the project.
- Support the Engagement team in coordinating information and messaging via the full range of media channels across the project, helping to draft materials, deliver training and briefings, undertake event management e.g. drop-ins, exhibitions.
- Act as a 'super-user' for the Customer/Stakeholder Management database, coordinating and delivering in-house training, managing the reporting requirements (up-skilling will be provided)
- Record and respond to complaints, queries, compliments, and third-party issues to within performance requirements and assist with periodic reporting.
- Engage proactively with local education establishments and interest groups, and work with colleagues in Skills, Education & Employment to identify opportunities for the community.
- Assist with the development and delivery of the project's Community Investment programme, working with colleagues to realise investment in legacy projects.
- Proactively engage in wider project activities, attending contractor forums, supporting collaborative opportunities and sharing best practice and lessons learned
Excellent interpersonal skills - Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-functional team
- Experience of the construction industry
- Experience in a community engagement role
