Full Job Description
The Systems Test & Verification Supervisor will work across the business and provide expertise on verification and test project deliverables at various stages of the development lifecycle. The Systems Test & Verification Supervisor will train and coach other engineers to develop capability and capacity in various testing methods, and step in when required to ensure excellence in test planning and delivery.
- The Systems Test & Verification Supervisor will manage Verification and Validation definition, with the support of internal and external stakeholders.
- The Systems Test & Verification Supervisor will support in the identification and implementation of the latest processes, standards and tools as well as mentoring and training the engineering community.
- Applying environmental and functional test expertise to the design, development and delivery of new aerospace products, processes and technologies.
- Being a part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and contributing the performance of the IPT to ensure that the performance expectations are met or exceeded.
- Employing the appropriate discipline processes, practices, and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements and discipline quality.
- Conducting verification activities on aerospace components and system including; Requirements Validation, Verification Strategy & Planning, Test, Analysis and Reporting.
- Creating verification documentation to demonstrate compliance to customer and internal requirements.
- Define system level and equipment level Strategies & Tests and understand how they link together (Integration)
- Train and coach other engineers in Verification activities including test & analysis
- Define processes, system specifications, input/output, integration requirements
- Support Generation of required test Equipment, including defining the requirements, sourcing, commissioning and usage of. This includes; fixturing, mechanical and electromechanical systems and rigs.
Degree in aeronautical, mechanical, electrical engineering or equivalent appropriate experience - Demonstrated experience working in a Systems test Engineering role, with it being desirable that the experience was gained within the Aerospace or Military Industry. Skills:
- Has expertise in producing compliance strategies that ensure the project can achieve validation and get off contract. Experience with regulatory bodies such as FAA/EASA is essential.
- Proven experience of planning, leading and executing projects and functional improvements.
- Strong systems verification experience, taking a number of projects through a systems engineering lifecycle, performing multiple types of tests.
- Proven experience of interfacing with internal and external customers.
- Proven skills and experience in leading small sized teams and developing Systems Engineers.
- Has failure investigation experience
