Full Job Description

· The Systems Project Engineer will be responsible to the Yeovil Systems Engineering Manager.

· The Systems Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of the system and its products to the customer requirement documentation. Experience in the use of DOORS / DOORS NG as a requirement's capture software would be useful.

· The role includes responsibility for the complete ECS system life cycle: systems requirements capture and management, systems design, support to systems modelling and performance testing. Interpretation of system test results and problem-solving skills are required.

· Responsibility for defining the system level requirements includes requirements allocation to electronic controls and component level requirements

· Reporting of system design / development status to internal and external customers.

· The Systems Project Engineer will liaise closely with programme management, design and development engineers, manufacturing and customers as and when necessary.

· The Systems Project Engineer is expected to manage his or her time according to the demands of the programme and the department and utilise Honeywell's project management tools for which training will be provided. A degree of working outside of normal hours may occur given the global aspects of the customer and the Honeywell Corporation.

· The Systems Project Engineer will be expected to work both independently and within a cross-functional team environment. Support is available from areas of expertise and experience when required.

ECS Systems Engineering at Honeywell Aerospace Yeovil is the branch of engineering concerned with the design and development of potentially large and complex aircraft bleed air management systems, where a 'system' is understood to be an integration of subsystems or components working together toward a common objective. Core technologies include turbomachinery, electro-mechanical valves, heat exchangers and associated electronic controls.
