As the Environmental Engineering Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading impactful environmental initiatives in wastewater and water process projects ranging from £100,000 to £5 million. Your expertise will guide these projects from inception to completion, skillfully addressing planned initiatives and urgent challenges with unwavering commitment.

Join our Thames Valley Capital Delivery team, where you will collaborate closely with the Senior Delivery Manager for Direct Delivery. In this newly formed in-house team, your contributions will enhance efficiency and propel Thames Water to meet and exceed its AMP8 goals. What you'll be doing as an Environmental Engineering Project Manager

- Act as the Environmental Engineering Project Manager responsible for the Environmental aspects of the design & build of Wastewater and Water Process Projects by project delivery procedures. For projects ranging in complexity between £100,000 to £5m in value managed directly by the team.
- Acting as the Environmental Project lead from conception to handover of planned projects or urgent/emergency works, this position requires supporting environmental issues and the wider team in developing robust and safe concepts and solutions.
- Take the lead in the Environmental planning and delivery of design & build activities.
- Accountable for developing the Environmental documentation for submission through the Governance process to achieve the correct funding to deliver the project as required by the internal stakeholders/client.
- Work with the team to achieve the time and cost targets.
- Work with and indirectly manage a wider Thames Water team of multi-function Engineers, Construction support, and Commercial Assurance.
- Act as the key contact to support the CDM Designer or Principal Designer role, particularly for projects where in-house engineers undertake the design.
- Provide Environmental Project Assurance during the delivery and commissioning.

Role Location: This role will be based on a hybrid basis within Thames Valley and the home counties. Depending on business needs, you must work on-site and in the office
2-3 days a week.

Must be a driver and have access to own transport; this role comes with a car allowance of £4,500.

Degree level or equivalent in an Environmental/engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience in environmental management for water and wastewater process design, from construction assurance.
- A focus on supporting and implementing continuous improvement.
- Experience in managing project teams and accountability for project delivery.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate company IT systems and Office software.
- Experience with onsite ecology issues and working knowledge of protected species (badgers, GCN, bats, etc.)
- Experience with carbon and sustainability documentation., Disability Confident

This role comes with a competitive salary between £55,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
